“New Shoes”, oil painting 15.25 x 23cm. From “A Portrait of Argentina” by Antrese Wood
I saw a woman and her little boy a block away from the Plaza 25 de Mayo in La Rioja, along a street converted into a pedestrian shopping center. The shops are painted with bold colors, colorful merchandise spills onto the street. Everywhere I looked, I saw a painting waiting to happen. It can be hard to choose sometimes. This little boy kept looking at his shoes. I don't know if he had just gotten a new pair or if he was trying to convince his mom he needed new shoes. At the moment, his mom was more interested in the pile of jeans on sale.
