We are in Bariloche once again. Once again a change of plans, another detour but I've learned to take these in stride, as long as I know I'm still headed in the right direction. In the original plan, right now, we would be as far south as you can go in Argentina without hitting Antarctica. In the original plan, we'd be done traveling in a few weeks. (Actually, in the original, original plan, the project would have been completely done last month). But seriously, what project ever goes according to plan?
Since Jorge closed his business while I do this project, we're a little short on cash for basic little things like… rent. Somehow, I don't know how or why, but when we really need them, opportunities appear. Our friends who lent us the apartment in Bariloche a few weeks ago decided to go forward with renovating it. Simultaneously, out of the blue, a client (and friend) called to see if I could help her out with a few websites. Bam. Just like that. Bills paid, and I get to work from Bariloche. I wake up early in the morning, my freelance work is done before the sun rises in Los Angeles, and I still have time to explore and paint the 7 national parks that surround Bariloche.
Do I love my life? Yes.
I have no idea what I did to deserve this, but I am profoundly grateful for it.
