California Rolling Hills

My parents moved to California from upstate NY a decade or so before I came along. My mom said she hated it at first, everything was so brown.

We do get the rolling green hillsides here in California, they just don't stay green very long, at least not in Southern California.

So driving north is always a treat, especially in the spring time. I painted this along Highway 58 coming home from San Luis Obispo.
